A little bit update on my last post..some of it I had done..like no 1 and no 12..same goes to no 6..others are still in my plan like no 2, 7 and 8..but if no 1 till 12 come together..that is sumthing i will always do
Anyway, I am currently on my psychology rotation right now..basically everyday I met people with mental problem/illnesses (dengan kata lain dlm bahasa melayu nya gila). And yeah, yesterday I was in this tute discussing something related to depression which is causes by a failure to maintain self esteem.
Then we go on and talk about "the origin of self esteem" which in the notes stated as
While self esteem is feeling good about yourself, a healthy self esteem is not founded on doing or being able to do something good
Further discussion of this which I think is good to share is that
Self esteem 101 - Self esteem means you are loved for just existing like a mother who love her baby for doing nothing in particular
Self esteem 201 301 - Self esteem means you are loved when you're in a mess just like a parents loved their child even though they spilling their milk
What this whole thing is trying to say is that, we don't have to do something good or impressive in order to feel good about ourselves. Accept it, we adult are a mess. We make mistakes everyday in our life. This sometime stressed the hell out of us. However with robust self esteem, you will cope well (not copeland but yeah cope well) and the reality (big mess) will feels like the spilt milk (manageable mess).
So yeah, I think its something good to share about here. Hope its something that interest you guys and not benda merapu-rapu je haha.
